One of the highlights of this year’s event is holding a various program and seminar which will discuss carefully chosen topics designed for participants who are planning to bring their operations to the region. The ever-increasing demand for greening cities through urban landscaping and parks development, among others has led to the boom in horticulture sector in the region, and has become a major interest for global floriculture, horticulture, urban landscaping and architecture markets, and other industry-related providers.
Tarek Sibai, Project Manager, planetfair, said: “The Middle East’s fresh flower and food industries are rapidly flourishing amidst the region’s continuously expanding population. Both WOP DUBAI and IPM DUBAI 2019 will help address the current high demand by providing a platform for all stakeholders to gain insights into current and emerging trends. Out of these discussions and networking opportunities, concrete actions can then be taken to help sustain the sectors’ significant progress. With the UAE importing AED 60 million worth of plants and AED 3 billion worth of fresh produce, this raises the importance of the exhibitions and is a testament to the lucrative and thriving regional markets.”
IPM DUBAI is the only fair within the Gulf region to unite the exhibition areas called Plants, Technology, Floristry, Garden Features, Logistics, Plant Maintenance as well as Garden and Landscaping and thus forms the most significant sectoral platform for the green sector in the region. This year, almost 45 exhibitors from 15 countries are presenting their products and services along the value-added chain in horticulture to the international decision takers.
